What $1,400 Rent Gets You in Tampa ? New Apartment Tour! | JEN TALKS FOREVER

hey guys Jen here and I’ve got a bit of
an announce that we’re gonna be moving again but we’re staying in the Tampa Bay
area we’re just switching rentals so I thought I would do a new condo tour we
are renting this this is what fourteen hundred bucks gets you in the Tampa Bay
area I did find this one on Zumper which is a website that’s sort of like
Zillow buffer rentals and a lot of people from Zumper post their listings
on Facebook marketplace so originally I was looking on Facebook and then it kept
pointing me to the number listing hopefully I’m pronouncing that right but
I found this great condo for rent in Tampa 1,400 bucks so let me take you for
a little tour we’re starting off in the kitchen here and it’s fairly updated
it’s got solid surface countertops tile floor in the kitchen and main living
areas and it’s got pretty nice appliances in here these are pretty
updated obviously there was some sort of power outage you recently because the
time clock is a little bit off but a pretty good amount of counter space and
I like the fridge I think the fridge is cool well it definitely looks newer and
you can do crushed ice cubed ice or water lots of storage you can even fit
stuff above the cabinets there is a pantry in here and this complex is built
in the like late 90s early 2000s and it’s in a good location so I was really
excited to find this rental there’s a little coke Laza here and then this is
the main living area it’s pretty spacious we definitely should be able to
get all of our stuff in here and I do really like again that has tile floors
throughout the main living area I do kind of wish it had solid surface
flooring in the bedrooms but you know what you can’t always get everything so
let me show you around to a lot of rentals I was finding the Tampa Bay area
definitely had at least it was a we were at least a 2-1 and they had laundry
inside so that wasn’t too hard to find and I do like there’s there’s a little
bit of storage in here too although I’m not really sure what would you put in
here maybe some maybe some totes or something all right now we’re moving on
to the bedroom and the two bathrooms it’s kind of a jack-and-jill style where
I mean it would be good for roommates I suppose or if you had like if you were a
young family with a baby and this believe it or not is another closet so
it’s got lots of closet space and I’ll also take you out onto the balcony it’s
got some space out here the bedroom is pretty clean I like all the white paint
for filming purposes it works out nicely because I do like a white backdrop it’s
got a built-in bookcase and lots of windows in here and this bedroom has
your standard closet but it does go in pretty deep so that’s kind of nice and
we’re renting from an owner so this is not like a an apartment complex
these are condos that people own and then owners can rent them out so this is
the bathroom and again pretty standard bathroom it’s
not super updated but we were just looking for something that was clean in
a decent neighborhood and this definitely fits the bill your sink right
here here’s your tub shower combo we don’t really need to see the toilet but
it even has cabinets above the toilet so that will come in handy I suppose and
then it goes right into the other bedroom again this bathroom is a pretty
decent size this is bedroom number two this one’s a little bit bigger I believe
and I’m not sure which one I’m gonna be using for the bedroom and then which one
we’re gonna be using for filming area not sure yet but she did just have the
carpets recently cleaned so that was cool so I just got to get in here I’m
gonna get back in here I’m gonna do some cleaning
and we haven’t even figured out moving in this closet actually has a walk-in
closet so that’s a nice feature it’s very roomy in here but we’re pretty
happy with finding this rental and the price it’s actually cheaper than what we
were paying at the apartment complex we were paying about $1,600 a month
including water and this place does include like water sewer trash the only
thing we have to pay extra is electric and then we’re gonna pay for Internet
but we are not gonna get cable again so we’re not we have our only missed that
so I just wanted to give you guys a quick look around and we’ll also go out
onto the balcony and I will show you guys it’s got more storage out here
again which is which is very nice so nice open space out here
good location well I hope you enjoyed the tour of our new place that you’ve
been wondering what $1400 can get you in the Tampa Bay area this is it anyways if

What are rent prices where you're at? I did experience some sticker shock moving back to Florida. Our first apartment together back in 2008 was under $700/month for a 1/1. What a wild time!

Beautiful area! How is the sound level inside? Can you hear your neighbors through the walls?

Lovely new place. I must have the deal of the century because I pay $550 for a 2 bedroom 1 bath house. 3acre yard in the country in GA. It's an old house and not perfect but…. I've been here nearly 6 years because I get "sticker" shock as you call it when I try to look elsewhere. But, I don't have the ocean in my backyard either.

No shade to you or anything but how do you stay motivated without feeling discouraged on youtube numbers. I have done over 6 youtube channels and only a few went off doing well to just ok. How do you make your income without feeling like you need to go back to the 9-5 because that is currently how I'm feeling right now. I want to retire with a 401k and i'm not getting any younger. I have an etsy store and it does well. But curious to know how you personally stay motivated on Youtube because I love the passive income that I have earned from it. I just can't seem to catch a break on Youtube.

A 1 bd/1bath here in our area of California is at least $1400 most of them are closer to $1700. And we don't even live in the most expensive part of California.
