Wentworth Place Arlington | 3515 Washington Blvd | Condos for Sale in Arlington VA

In today’s video, we’re taking a look
at Wentworth Place in Virginia Square. Before the high rises, before Metro, before Rockland’s,
and for you locals before Uptown Bakery, there was and still is Wentworth Place. This community
will be the focus of our video today so let’s get right into it. Wentworth Place is located along Washington
Boulevard between Nelson and Lincoln Street at 3515 Washington Blvd. The community was
built in 1960 and has 78 residences on 5 stories. When you think Virginia Square, this community
is probably going to be a little north of what you were expecting. It’s still in a
good location. It’s walkable to restaurants and you’ve got a grocery store right across
the street from you. It’s not going to feel like you’re in a somewhat urban city center
like the feeling you get in the middle of Ballston or even the middle of Virginia Square
because there are no other high-rises surrounding Wentworth Place. There building is surrounded
by single-family homes. I see this as a plus because it’s going to be less noisy, you’re
going to have a view that doesn’t look into another building, and there’s going to be
less vehicle traffic. Sure it’s Washington Boulevard, I know that, but there aren’t
buildings with hundreds and hundreds of people right next to you that are all trying to get
on Washington Boulevard right at that spot. So as you can see there’s a lot of benefits
of being in this location. Looking at the amenities, even though the
community is a little bit older than some of the other condos in the vicinity, Wentworth
is still going to have a nice amenity package. There’s a community room, a fitness center,
a picnic area, and a generously-sized outdoor pool Floor plans are mostly one and two bedroom
layouts. There are 5 studios in the community as well as 4 three-bedroom units. The most
common layout is the one bedroom at 850 square feet. About 60% of the residences at Wentworth
Place are of the one bedroom variety. Interiors will be mostly the same in terms of layout.
Larger living areas, lots of closet space, and usually a galley style kitchen. About 30% of units will be of the 2 bedroom
variety at 1,100 square feet. All will come with 1 bathroom. Inside of the units you will
really find a mix of updates. Some have carpet, others have parquet floors, and some have
updated to hardwood floors. The layouts are easy and spacious. A big take away again is
the ample closet space. Another benefit of living at a community built in this era is
that the closet space is unbeatable. Okay with that being said, it’s time to
take a look at the top 3 things you need to know about living at Wentworth Place: Outdoor Pool. Outdoor pools are hard to come
by. And this outdoor pool feels a little different than most. For one, you don’t have a high-rise
that is looking down on you from all angles. And second, there’s green space right next
to you, a lawn to hang out at, grills if you’re hungry…it has much more of a summer vibe
to it than your run-of-the-mill tiny urban concrete jungle pool that you find at most
condos. Guest Parking. Wentworth Place has 20 visitor
spots. 20! At most condos you’ll be lucky to find 5 guest parking spots. So while this
is a surface lot, which can be a deal-breaker for some, there is no shortage of guest parking.
Affordability. At the time of this video, 1 bedrooms are going for $300,000 and two
bedrooms are going for under $400. Will prices stay affordable reasonably-speaking? That
remains to be seen. At Wentworth Place you’re getting good value, good amenities, lower
condo fee than you would expect, and an awesome location. Ok so there you have it, the top 3 things
you need to know about living at Wentworth Place. Just to recap number one is Outdoor
Pool, number two is guest parking, and number three is Affordability. If you made it this
