Top 10 Scary Bugs That Might Live In Your House

Bugs. Some people are fans, many are not. They do have an important place in the circle
of life and our ecosystem, but at what cost?? Hi most amazing fam, my name is Abbey and
today I’m talking about those creepy crawlers with this video. Top 10 Scary Bugs That Might Live In Your
House Stick around until the end for some bloopers. Most likely it will be a bunch of me making
really disgusted faces. 10 Cockroaches
I’m going to specifically be talking about the American Cockroach, but there is also
german, australian, and oriental cockroaches, so don’t think they won’t be at your house
too. So, American cockroaches are actually native
to the middle east and africa but it is believed they came over because of commercial patterns
including the atlantic slave trade. These roaches live up to 700 days, and are
the largest of all different cockroach species. They are about 1.6 inches tall and reddish
brown. They are one of the quickest insects when
it comes to running, clocking in at over 3 miles an hour. Comparatively to body size, that’s like a
person running over 200 miles an hour. They speedy creepy bois. One horror story is that while someone was
in the ER waiting for their stepdad to be seen, the nurses wheeled in a little boy about
four years old who was screaming and crying while clawing at the left side of his head. The nurses put him in the bed right next to
the stepdad and all these doctors and nurses keep coming and going to look at him. Finally they pulled out a large roach from
his left ear. Apparently the roach was digging, trying to
make a nest. Everyone was horrified. But let’s move over to something on the
smaller side, at number nine we have lice! If you have never had lice before, that is
wonderful and I applaud you. But I have been both a camp counsellor and
a child before, so I have been more susceptible. I was only a wee babe when it happened to
me. The eggs were found in my hair and my mom
cut my hair real short. But why? Well, because lice may be super small, but
they wreath havoc. They live in peoples hair and they feed on
people’s blood. They just sit there, snacking on your scalp. So if your head is feeling itchy, get your
scalp checked, so these bloodthirsty little critters don’t keep roaming on your dome. Other little buggers at number eight, Bedbugs
Contrary to their name, these bugs don’t just live in beds, although that is common. They live in small cracks and crevices of
buildings and furniture as well. They mainly stay by beds because they, too,
feed on people. Yes, another scary little bug that wants your
blood. When they bite you, they even administer a
bit of an anesthetic to keep you from feeling the bite, so you don’t even know they are
doing it! But, you will notice the red bumps that appear
on your body. These bugs are a nuisance and hard to get
rid of since it’s hard to get them out of everything in your house, so yeah, definitely
a scary thing to find in your house. Seven Jumping Spiders
While these spiders have adorable eyes do not be dissuaded from the fact it is still
a spider and should be outside! It may catch a ride on a plant or other things
you bring inside your house so if you find one of these fellas, just chuck it right back
outside. And by chuck it I mean give it a ride on a
piece of paper. Their size ranges from an eighth of an inch
to three quarters of an inch and they can be tan, black, brown or grey and usually have
pale markings And you may still be thinking, oh Abbey, this
one is pretty cute, just take a look at this. In this series of photos one jumping spider
took on a grasshopper and Won because it has rapidly injecting venom. This venom won’t have much effect on a person
of course, but still. It bites if it feels threatened. Six Black Widow Spiders
Nope, not the Marvel character, the spider that Black Widow is named after. It’s a dangerous little arachnid that can
be found in the United States, southern Europe and Asia, Australia, Africa, and much of South
America. They spread out pretty far since the little
widow spiderlings make themselves a little sail-like contraption with their web and then
float along wherever the winds take them. Black widows have a more dangerous reputation
since their venom is 15 times more dangerous than a rattlesnake. And they aren’t just dangerous to people
and animals, but to each other as well. A female black widows lifespan can be around
three years, but a male black widows lifetime is around two to three months. Why? Well because after they mate, the female usually
kills and eats the male. Making her a widow, where we get the name. So if you see a one and a half inch black
spider with a red hourglass on its back, keep your distance, because that’s the feisty
female. Five Cellar Spiders
These little buggers are also known as daddy long-legs spiders, granddaddy long-legs spiders,
carpenter spiders, daddy long-leggers, vibrating spiders and skull spiders. They are notable for their tiny little body
and super long legs. Their legs are so thin that many times you
don’t even feel them crawling on you. And I speak from experience. For a while there was an urban legend going
around that the cellar spiders venom was secretly the most dangerous, but it’s fangs just
weren’t long enough to pierce human skin. But this was disproved by mythbusters and
scientific research. They are incredibly venomous to other insects,
but to a person, if you somehow convince one of these pretty calm spiders to bite you,
it would just be a very mild burning sensation. Four Millipedes
Millipedes are a group of bugs, specifically arthropods, that have two pairs of jointed
legs on most body segments. Pill bugs actually fall underneath this category,
bug they are shorter than what we think when we imagine a millipede. Millipede legs are attached to the underside
of their body while centipede legs are attached to the side of their body. So there’s a fun fact you can use to impress
people at a party. But you might find one of these big scary
bois in your house. The most legs recorded on one was 750. Three Ticks
Ticks are known as one of the worst because they can transmit lyme disease. The most popular in conversation is the blacklegged
deer tick as it is the one known to transmit lyme disease and other pathogens. If you have a dog, or any outdoor animals
or pets, you are going to want to protect them from ticks for their safety as well as
yours. In parts of Canada, lyme disease is so prominent
in ticks that if you get a tick bite, they just assume you need to be treated for lyme
disease. Without treatment, a person can get complications
involving the joints, heart, and nervous system. Two Horse Flies
These are those big flies you may have come upon that take a big chunk of your body and
hurt the absolute worse. They can become infected and swollen if not
treated properly Only the females bite humans and animals to
get blood so they have what they need to produce eggs. Someone wrote on a forum that a horsefly chased
them almost two miles, just hovering over their shoulder waiting for their next snack. They have been plaguing humanity for a long
long time. The ancient greek tragedy writer Aeschylus
even mentioned them driving people to madness in ancient greece. One A house centipede
This one takes my number one because it’s just nasty. Centipedes are worse than millipede and yes
you can argue with me, but you will be wrong. Is there a horror movie with millipede in
the title? No, its the human centipede. But I digress. A house centipede usually has 15 pairs of
legs, and cen leg it up to 40 centimeters a second. That’s over a foot of movement in a second
for the little things. And they might run straight towards you, because
they can’t see very well that you probably don’t want them to come any closer to you
and they think, wow, that looks like a safe space. While this household pest looks scary, it
eliminates some of the other pests found on this list. It hunts for spiders, bed bugs, termites,
cockroaches, silverfish, and ants, so if you can stomach living alongside a house centipede,
you may live without other pests. Personally though, no. I cannot live with a centipede. Let’s look at its stats:
It has up to 15 pairs of long legs. It is around one inch in length, it’s this
light color and it’s hideous and devastating and get it out of my house please! All right everyone, that was Top 10 Scary
Bugs That Might Live In Your House, and I hope you don’t also have the crawling sensation
that bugs are all over you. I feel fine. But i’ve been your host Abbey, if you enjoyed
this make sure to give us a like, comment, and subscribe, and check us out on facebook

Issues noticed: Anthropod is not a real word, the word you are looking for is arthropod, spiders and ticks are arachnids not insects, centipedes and millipedes are myriapods not insects, house centipedes have some of the best vision of all centipedes (which is half decent, but they can probably see you from a few feet away), notable confusion between cellar spiders and harvestmen.

Informative video but rather flawed. 7/10.

My older brother got a roach in his ear. Luckily, as he was about to go to the hospital he kept his head tilted and it fell out 🤢. Anyways, bed bugs are considerate if you think about it…unlike lice and horse flies. I'd never seen a house centipede till I lived in Georgia creepy awful things 😫… I just strongly fear and dislike bugs… except roly polies/pill bugs, those are kind of cute.

Hey Guys, I’ll keep posting this until I get it on the Chanel! I’ve been watching this Chanel a lot and I love it! I think I should share my first MEMORABLE encounter with a demon. So I lived on a farm with my Mom on the same plot of land our family has past down for generations. My family has had the farm house for 200 years. Many of my family have died in the house from having multiple births to have the children work on the farm or from snakes or regular natural causes. My Mom, Youngest sister Ella and I came home one day I believe after church. Keep in mind I was in about Kindergarten or the first grade. I was pretty young, but still old enough to remember things like this. Later that same night, I was working on my homework for school on Monday in the kitchen. We were all sitting around the table and by this time it was about 2100. Next to the kitchen there’s a way to get to the library with a large fire place. The way to get there is open so no door. We weren’t in there so the light was off. All of a sudden we all here a crash and look be hind us from the kitchen table. There was a small black cloud looking like figure like a small child or animal with bright red eyes. It stared at us and it felt like it was lock on me. I stared in its eyes for what felt like days. It eventually let out a blood hurdling shriek that sounded like a crying baby mixed with a faulty microphone so it was amplified. My Mom and Ella were terrified, but I weirdly wasn’t. My Dad wasn’t around due to being in the military. Therefore, I had to “be the man” a lot of the time. I saw it bolt back towards the fireplace and I ran after it. I chased it back to the fireplace and watched float, fly and kind of climb back up the fireplace. I grabbed one of the fireplace pokers in case it came back. After 30 minutes of watching to make sure it didn’t come back, I went back into the kitchen to see my Mom and little sister crying. It was weird because they were crying loudly and I didn’t hear them while I was chasing and looking for this entity. After that my Mom put on some church music on the TV the rest of the night and we all fell asleep in the same room. I’ve had others before, but I was to young to remember and my Mom told me. I had multiple after this encounter as well, but this one is the most vivid and memorable.
