Study: Phoenix renters leaving the state, however renter population remains high

PING FOR A CESAR CHAVEZ LIKE DEMONSTRATION WITH NO VIOLENCE.>>>ALL NEW, WHAT IS DRIVING RENTERS AWAY FROM OUR STATE? THIS STUDY SHOWING NEARLY 70 PERCENT OF RENTERS DON’T PLAN ON STAYING IN ARIZONA. MEGAN THOMPSON JOINING US LIVE. YOU SPOKE WITH THE RESEARCHERS BEHIND THIS. WHY ARE PEOPLE LEAVING?>>Reporter: IT IS A STUDY THAT NEEDS SOME EXPLAINING. WHEN YOU LOOK AROUND PHOENIX AND YOU SEE THE HIGH-RISES AND THE APARTMENTS BEING BUIL YOU WONDER WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE THE PROBLEM? I TOOK THAT QUESTION APARTMENT LIST WHO SAYS EVEN THOUGH A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE ARE LEAVING PLENTY FROM OUT-OF-STATE ARE COMING IN.>>ALTHOUGH SO RENTERS WANT TO LEAVE PHOENIX IT IS STILL A DESIRABLE LOCATION FOR RENTERS IN OTHER CITIES. YOU MIGHT SEE A TURNOVER IN RENTERS, BUT NOT A DECREASE IN THE RENTER POPULATION.>>Reporter: TURNOVER FOUND IN BONNIE ORTIZ, MOVING TO THE VALLEY FROM CHICAGO. SHE IS RENTING HER HOME FROM A VILLA HOMES IN CHANDLER AND AGREES WITH APARTMENT LIST WHEN IT COMES TO RENTER DEMAND WITH HER CLIENTS .>>SOME ARE NOT READY TO BUY. SOME ARE MOVING FROM OUT-OF- STATE AND WANT TO GET A GOOD FEEL OF WHAT ARIZONA IS LIKE, SCHOOLS, THE AREA.>>Reporter: APARTMENT LIST DID GIVE 3 TOP REASON AND THE 1st BEING JOBS . THE 2nd IS AFFORDABILITY. JUST OVER 10 PERCENT SAY SAFETY

LOL, and what makes them think the "new" renters coming to Arizona won't leave as well after their one year lease expires?? Because the JOBS, AFFORDABILITY and SAFETY factor will not change. In fact, it will only get worse.
