San Miguel de Allende Apartment Tour

hey guys some of you have asked for an
apartment tour of our place in San Miguel so here it is. All right so here is
the front door beautiful wood door, pretty mirror on the
wall, place to put your keys. Here’s the kitchen. Here is the living room I love
the tile in this apartment. Through those doors is a beautiful balcony with a
lovely view which you can see here lots of plants and a lovely little fountain
off to the side and you could always hear water running which was really nice okay back inside, lots of pretty little
touches in this apartment, just every little space had some art or just
something beautiful in it. The lady who owns this place just has a beautiful
sense of style and taste and Harper loved this little chihuahua,
she actually calls chihuahuas “chill-how-ahs” so one of the first things she said
when we got to this apartment was “look it’s a ‘chill-how-ah!'” so yeah, it’s just a comfortable space, nice dining room table, there’s a fireplace which obviously we didn’t need but it does get
cold in San Miguel in winter I hear and this is my favorite thing in the apartment, I just adored this. these little guys, so cool here’s another view of the little dining area right when you walk in the front door you’ve got the table there and you can see the
kitchen lovely green tile and a pretty green countertop and I love the glass
door cabinets very nice just little touches everywhere
so pretty I love this tile and here is the desk where Jesse did
all his work, he really liked that comfortable yellow chair, there’s a
little desk there and here’s a little second bedroom area. this is my favorite
spot in the entire apartment, this chair’s so comfortable and it was right in this
beautiful little window so you could come over here and you could see all the
trees and just sit and relax like this look at that view
it was the perfect place to sit and read another shot of the second bedroom area again lots of little details in this
apartment, were just so pretty I love that lamp, how cool is
that? right here’s the bathroom, this is the main bathroom on the first floor, hi
guys pretty tile work throughout. I don’t know
what you call this but that was quite quite lovely too, here’s the shower, there
are two showers in this apartment nice big spacious shower. I love this
little mirror, I think it’s just darling what is prettier than Mexican tile I
ask you? and here are the steps leading up to the main bedroom, little bookcase,
Harper loved this little horse, so cute and we’re going up the stairs now, pretty
tile again I love this picture on the wall
everything has character here, beautiful big desk where I would do my editing and
writing in the evenings and here we are, this is the master
bathroom with another shower and of course more pretty tiles this bedroom was so pretty and so
comfortable. of course you know how much I adore the ceiling and how about that
headboard? how pretty is that? I just adore this room, even this wardrobe had
so many lovely little details. this is one of my favorite paintings in the
apartment, it’s just so pretty and it just fits so well with the aesthetic. there is
a little patio off of this bedroom, you can see out the window there, a little
sunflower details there are some beautiful plants outside and the lovely
sound of birds every morning. a couple of palm
trees and lovely green and yellow wall. I loved to sit out here and
drink a tea do my Spanish homework, just relax.
and that’s the house guys! we got this apartment off of Airbnb. we stayed here
for two months. it’s a little bit of a walk to Centro but if you are not
trying to drag a three-year-old with you it’s not a bad one and there are there
are buses going everywhere you’d want to go pretty much. and that’s it that was
our home for two months. it was such a lovely place

hi erin. research apartment prices of what Mexicans are paying just because the average income is 80 to 100 pesos a week how much you think they pay for rent …. you guys are paying $950 whoever is renting you the properties are making a killing overpriced check it for real. you won't believe what the real price is if you were to find out what a real Mexican family pays for that very same apartment… tnx

Beautiful place! San Miguel is expensive compared to other areas of Mexico. Was everything included? Utilities?

Where in Guanajuato are you are you looking to live? My wife and I are building a small Hotel in the city of Guanajuato. I prefer Guanajuato over San Miguel.

Looks like older Mexican construction. Nice indeed but I'm not a fan of that style and would prefer something more modern

Gringo prices. $950.00 for an apartment that tiny is extremely expensive for Mexico. In any other place (non-touristic) that small place would run for about $1,200.00 to $1,500.00 pesos, or $60.00 to $75.00 dollars…. per month. No wonder some Mexicans are starting to hate foreigners invading their country and making their own beautiful cities so unaffordable for themselves. A very sad situation for the locals (not for the greedy landlords).

I’d like to know how much the rent on an apartment like this is ( please tell us $) And is it furnished, I’m thinking of retiring there with my sister in about 18 months we’re curious about what to bring with us
