Q&A – Is it true that Japanese holly does not get boxwood blight?

“Is it true that Japanese
holly does not get boxwood blight like
traditional boxwoods?” And this is from
Kirsten, via YouTube. So is that true? Japanese hollies
don’t get boxwood? – That’s true. – That’s true. – Yes, and the
reason why is because boxwood and hollies are
two different species. And the boxwood blight
is, that’s why it’s called boxwood blight, it’s
related to just boxwoods. And it’ll only get on boxwoods. But, I know, people
get confused, the leaves are similar but no, it will not get that. – (Chris)
Right. Leaves are similar, you got to look,
opposite or alternate. You got to know which one.
