My TINY NYC Apartment Tour ! (350 Sq Ft in Greenwich Village, Manhattan) Part 2

What’s up guys Jon coming to you from Greenwich Village In New York City My home neighborhood And if you’ve been watching my channel you’ve probably seen my finding an apartment in New York City series Let me tell you It was not easy Well today.. 7 months after I made my original tiny apartment video I’m going to show you part two Where I turn my tiny two-bed room apartment Into an equally tiny 1-bedroom apartment Stay tuned til the end And i’m going to tell you exactly how much We’re paying We’ve just walked into the lobby of my building And nothing has changed on that front Still no elevator After 7 months And i don’t think there’s ever going to be an elevator I live on the fourth floor And a lot of people that live in New York City understand the plight Of having to go up and down the stairs All the time But it does keep you in shape That’s the benefit Alright we have made it to my apartment.. Welcome home We’re going to start with the bathroom And it’s not a very big bathroom As this apartment is only 350 square feet to begin with So.. nothing in this apartment is that big We changed the shower curtain here New rug And this is my personal favorite Right here For you male viewers out there.. when you’re standing around Doing something you can just stare and kind of learn a little bit more about the neighborhoods Of New York City We completely decluttered this bathroom Just got this from Trader Joes Very cool cactus We’ve still got to fill this bookcase up.. At some point Now i’m going to show you all.. one of the big changes that’s occured In this apartment It’s what used to be my brothers room If you saw the last video My friend Mike was actually staying over The room was kind of a disaster It was a small bedroom I always found it kind of cluttered Completely different now So i’m excited to show you this And I’m going to let Adriana take over as the tour guide Alright Adriana How are you guys? Okay i’m going to show you this room It was basically a disaster The walls were so dirty So we painted them And I don’t know if you remember the video when we went to Ikea And we got this This perfect couch We couldn’t get anything bigger Because the room is not so big But I think it’s perfect for Jon And also.. we were thinking about a Big Tv But as you can see The distance is a little bit short So we decided that this one was much better for our eyes And this beautiful table from Amazon I think Jon.. he’s really going to enjoy this room What about the plants over there You almost forgot them Our babies We don’t have pets, we don’t have kids We have plants Here you have.. we got them a few days ago And I think they are the perfect touch for the room What do you think guys? When you have a room that’s extremely small Light colors are key Mirror right there It’s like our little living room slash TV room It’s just nice to have an extra space To escape to When you’re stuck in a small apartment all day This means everything Trust me Now we’re moving down the hallway To the kitchen area And this is Team Adriana’s desk right here She’s a very talented artist She has a lot of her work all over This is a little corner desk Which fits perfectly in a tiny space It even has this drawer right here Got the white chair to match Octubre I think you guys can figure out what month that is in Spanish This is one of my favorite pieces of the entire apartment The mirror right here A mirror can make a small space Look a lot better And maybe my favorite new thing about the apartment.. Is this table We just added it These two new chairs Square shape But we can pull it out if need be Got fruits here We bought this as well To put the coffee maker I like this corner I feel like we’re utilizing the space quite well We completely decluttered the shelves as you can see Not a whole lot going on And then Adriana literally created this piece Just for the apartment Take a look Check out my Refrigerator By the way This is one of my favorite little touches here I’ve got money from just about every country I’ve ever visited We line them all up Guys I have no idea where this Saudi Arabian note came from I’m not sure I’ve never been to Saudi Arabia This is the first time I’ve ever seen this Maybe my twin brother put it here Weird.. We’re about to walk into my bedroom And I really haven’t changed that much in here This is the one room that I would like to do.. some things to do If you guys have any suggestions. On how to decorate a tiny bedroom I’m curious I’ve been lazy I admit it This right here is my work area I showed this in the last video I made My Youtube Channels’ right there I’m always on it Desk Printer Little closet With the dresser stuff here Full size bed Could have gotten a queen But we went with a full here Just I didn’t want to take up so much space Mirror right there Pumpkins a nice touch During Halloween It matches Eckhart Tolle’s New Earth My favorite book ever Beautiful view of.. not much In New York City A lot of people don’t have views If you wathed my series on apartment’s I thought we had a bad view I saw a ton of apartment’s in Greenwich Village And Soho which had worse views Where it was like.. Darkness and shadow right up against the window So in retrospect.. this is not that bad This is also quite clutch up here This extra shelf space Very nice Let’s go to the roof And talk about pricing The best part of any New York City apartment The rooftop This is where I come just to.. meditate You’re above everything The city feels a lot smaller from up here Now the golden question How much do I pay to live in the heart of Greenwich Village A lot of money I’m not going to sugar coat it 2,700 dollars a month People that live in this area We’re paying for location We’re paying for conveniences.. to be Near everything that greenwich village And downtown Manhattan has to offer But i’m curious Tell me in the comments Would you pay that much money for an apartment Why or why not Considering that is one of the best neighborhoods in all of New York City Guys , if you’re new to this channel Make sure to subscribe I’ve got a ton of New York City tips videos And vlogs Coming up Over the next couple of months It’s going to get more and more interesting I promise you that Thank you so much For watching As always Until next time

Beautifuk home but not worth by my perspective. If you're planning to start a family, you're throwing money in the garbage…wasted away just so you can say you live in Greenwich. Someday, you may cringe looking back at all that money gone.

It’s not the size that counts! It’s a hot apartment. Can you put plants on the fire escape to green up your view? Just find a good coffee shop you like, and a corner market; and you’re set! Good luck (all the naysayers don’t know New Yawk!)

A suggestion, for your closets you could use a tension curtain rod with a simple curtain to hid (but have easy access to) the contents. Also rooms could use some color, framed prints or pictures (I even get stuff like that from thrift stores including curtains).

Been there done that. I grew up in a rent controlled apt in the East Village and as soon as I could I moved to Bklyn. So, no, I wouldn't pay $2,700 a month for a small Village apt. 🙂

This reminds me of my studio apartment on the upper west side. I was young…just graduated from college and got a job in midtown. I had so much fun memories in that tiny apartment about 200 sq. ft. Nothing beats living in Manhattan when you’re young and single. I'm married now with one child. My wife and I bought a house on Long Island and it took me a while to get used to a place with lots of space and very quiet.

Personally I would not pay that for rent every month. I am from Albany N.Y. and I know how much space and modern amenities $2,700 a month can get you in this area. It can get you a whole lot!! I also have extreme anxiety about quite a few things so I’d rather spend that money on a big, modern, place to live and with what’s leftover I could upgrade my car.

So move in with me, I got a 1200 sq.ft condo that's paid for with a city view in the heart of everything. And a 5 minute bus ride downtown and a one block walk to the lakefront and park. I still don't know what the hype is about living in Manhattan. People move to Bay Ridge or Dyker Heights part of Brooklyn. Dyker Heights especially is residential, quiet and most importantly CHEAP and you get sq footage.

Wow, a desk…WITH a drawer, impressive. $2,700 in that location is ok even for 350 sq. ft. I would expect that you do not actually spend much time in the apartment other than to sleep, shower, breakfast – and then gone until late evening. Even if you did low budget poster art, those walls need some visual interest – I would step it up with actual paintings. What most people don't realize is that these smallish downtown apartments are generally not super long term. A lot of people have their fun for a year or two and then move on.

The most i would pay in that area for that size apt would be around 900 to 1300 $. You r totally getting effed in the a**. Sorry but u asked. New York is not that wonderful and neither is New Jersey. If you don't save for retirement, you're going to regret it. But if you are working on your retirement funds, I see nothing wrong with paying to live in the neighborhood of your choice. $2700 isn't bad for Greenwich Village, a wonderful neighborhood. If you don't mind the space being small then it really doesn't matter that you could have a large place elsewhere for the same money. Happy Living In The Village, Here Be Barr!

I will do it, also, since there are two of you, it is actually not that bad. 1350 per person, which is very reasonable price if you live in the center of the NY. That’s the same price of a 2 bedroom here in downtown Seattle, probably newer and bigger here. But if I have a job in NYC, with my current pay I’d consider rent a place similar to yours
