Living under $300.00 Manila Philippines Cost of living – $85 apartment

behind me here is the entrance to the pink house
just right on the main road which means get so loud pink house time This is the rooftop of the building
with a pink house it’s actually pretty nice sunsets here in the
province too and there are bats everywhere one of the nice things about he pink house is when It rains, it cools everything off. very cheap right here but you have to deal with the barking dogs,
traffic noise and very low ceilings oh yeah, and the bathroom The shower, Tabo style – Yikes and as a special treat right by the pink
house massage parlor service… Service with love. open 24 hours fabulously cheap apartment but the pink house here in a province near Manila
like Valenzuela City, caloocan, Bulacan set you back about $85 US dollars a
month but gonna have to be prepared for the noise and your utility bill will
probably run your another 1000 pesos 1500 pesos for electric another 500 pesos
that was cool your water it’s a 2-bedroom 1-bath although technically in
the US this would qualify as a one bedroom because this would be the living room
the way they look in the Philippines in there’s more than one door then it’s a
two bedroom it’s a pink house…… it’s a little baby in
the pink house that little thing just came into the world like a week ago and
the reason why it’s here is because where it lives there are ghosts and the
ghosts don’t let it sleep so therefore it has to come here so the pink house is
really cheap to live in super noisy now it’s getting crowded, but that’s the Philippines do you want to tell me about the ghosts? never met him – Sorry That’s what I Thought. my last week in the pink house getting
ready to move to the white house three bedroom house with mud room, dirty kitchen, laundry and
garage for 250 bucks a month here in the Philippines this is the White House 3 big rooms, plus the 2 kitchens and living area, I kind of like it dirty kitchen back here, outside kitchen and yard…. Inside he house… another work area – Big spot man, I like it. Place has like 2 bathrooms, one is out back here… Laundry area, Not bad, no bad at all. Garage work area I like that it’s got banana trees, but they need some
care man what the heck is this? Atis…. Atis? What are those things? Jackfruit. Oh, that’s the jackfruit. wow it’s like June hit and all of a
sudden it’s rainy season here it’s been raining every day a couple times a day
all week it’s actually kind of nice I like it it’s quiet chilling… you can live in a condo like
this here in Makati which is the Knightsbridge residences for about $22 US
a day and it includes all the amenities the pool the gym, game room, library the
location and that probably was up to about $750 US per month now you’re gonna
have to shop around to get a deal like that something long-term probably
include utilities on top of that however I’ve been able to find deals for it that
includes the utilities so a condo like this here in Eastwood
City probably on you between 18 and 22 thousand pesos a month maybe about 450
to 500 us a month but on top of that you’re going to pay a significant amount
of utility fees between six and eight thousand pesos per month for electric
and an additional one to two thousand pesos a month from the water
why utilities are so much higher in this BPO zone I don’t know but my experience
shows me that they are thanks for watching if you like this video please

Thank you for sharing good information. I wonder if you are looking for a house to settle outside the metro Manila area.

I have a simple question. Is it easy to find condos in Eastwood City that allow tenants to have a dog?

Lots of rain there, I like the second house for $278, and that condo is cheaper than the small studio I live in NJ, maybe if I have a decent way of income online, i could experience living there in Philippines

Great video. Wondering if you tried living in both houses. Kudos if you did. Would love to see local lifestyle, neighborhood, and people videos in those areas. Also, kudos to your wife for her flexibility. FYI, I got huge value from watching your getting rid of stuff videos (been following you since the beginning), thank you. Like you, I have some stuff I'm really attached to and also valuable vintage musical/electronic equipment. Those videos were perfect in helping me get my priorities sorted.

I watch every video you produce, even the nice places to visit videos. There are just very few videos about expats happily living Provincial lifestyles on Youtube and would love to see lots more. I'm sure there are expats who discovered a niche away from the hustle and bustle where they assimilated into local communities and would love to see how they found their happy life there, perhaps even with interviews. Would be valuable to know what western values they have given up or just found useless and got rid of them and how they evolved to be happier as a result. I suppose I'm an Alabang neighborhood type and may decide to settle into that lifestyle but I'm always interested in seeing expats living the local (provincial) lifestyles. At times I ponder trying the different lifestyles to understand and experience it all myself.

Thanks for the information bro. I have two condos in Makati City, but I don't plan to retire early there. I want to just rent them out as another source of income and, like you, rent here and there in the non city areas. Keep up the great videos.

It's always a thumbs up for you bro. Honestly been to the Philippines many times, and I made a plan to retire there about almost 9 years ago. I have made significant progress in those 9 years and looking at another 3 years to be completely debt free and see if i can afford to just minimize like you did and get the fuk outta the US. I have definitely been getting rid of shit i do not need or never use and continue to do so, so when i am ready to leave it will not be as much of a hassle. Been following you for awhile now. Keep up the good work bro.

Thanks Eric—interesting perspective. Eastwood and Makati condos are great places short term if you want the hustle and bustle of life every day—-but I think long term, I'd want that "other" room to walk into and to walk outside without riding 14 floors of elevators. Not sure pink everything and tabo showers would excite me, especially when you still have the traffic noise. But living on the edge of the NCR or just into a provincial area seems like a lifestyle you could settle into—-and cheaper. I'll be interested in seeing your neighbourhood if you settle in there for a while.

Pink house rooms looked like shipping containers. You plan on buying a car or motorcycle?

The noise is a killer for me. I need to find something like that but it's quiet. Esp. with the 24h massage parlor nearby.
