May work with older Engines. With newer Engines a Timing Problem goes ahead with a dead Engine. But nice to see the Honda works!

This was the best most interesting video I have ever seen. Your neighbor does NOT want you to tell him you fixed it for nothing in one hour. Tell him you had to replace both the engine and the transmission, and the radio to boot. He’ll be much happier.

One time when I was younger, I was offroading (in my car) and it died and wouldn't fire. I found out the next day my exhaust pipe was bent backwards and packed with mud from backing out of a ditch that I was in.

First off, this is a GREAT video and Chris "FIX" got er done! GOOD JOB!!!!

Secondly, judging from the other comments about the belt if anything this proves you should at the minimum have a quick chat with your mechanic BEFORE taking the car home. It could've been an accident and maybe they would've caught the issue right then and there. Most mechanics don't want to lose their jobs and will work with you. Of course, some mechanics just don't make the cut and might just be lazy.

Great video CHRIS!!

All your neighbor had to do was have his mechanic replace four more expensive parts and then he probably would’ve fixed it.

everything was great about this video until he turned that d16 clockwise, they are counter-rotantional engines, so the correct way to spin that engine is turning to the left , or as if you were loosening that crank bolt

Heya! I just bought a 2007 mustang GT from my uncles mother.

The car only has about 5k miles and night as well be in perfect condition. The only thing is, that it will crank, but won’t start.

She wouldn’t really drive it that often, maybe once a week. She’s just leave the battery on some charger to keep it, well… charged.

My uncle came in about a month before I bought it and unplugged the battery chargers. So the battery went dead when we tried to start it.

So we got a new battery. But the car still won’t start. Any ideas that might come first into mind?

Since it’s in such good condition and barely used. I doubt there is anything wrong with the engine when it comes to compression, timing, and fuel.

I honestly think it might be an electrical issue, maybe spark plugs? Any opinions on this matter would be greatly appreciated

I’ve been struggling with my 90 Oldsmobile cutlass ciera 3.3 v6 and it was sitting for about 2 months and I would always start it up to keep it in running condition but I just changed the crank position sensor and now it cranks but won’t start and this car is everything to me…if u look at my page you can see I’m not the best but it’s a product of me and I just can’t seem to get it to start…I’m guessing it’s the timing because everything is good..but I just drove it the other day after changing the cv axel and when I would accelerate it would shut off…I assumed it was the crank position sensor so I changed it but now it won’t start

This is so good I would compare it with airliner crash analysis. Well done Chris! By the way, there are engines that have interference between valve n piston.

Hey chris just wondering because i replaced my fuel pump, starter, battery twice now, and bought ecm online that was flashed via ebay, and still having start up issues, what vehicle was doing prior was it was hesitant when driving as if running out of gas, then finally gave out, took it to 2 mechanics and one said it was fuel pump so he replaced the other said ecm which was replaced by myself..

i hope u can help me out with what the possibility it could be because its my primary transportation and i got 3 kids so funds are low… after i replaced ecm i tried starting and still same issue, cranked but no start, sounded like it was trying to kick over all while new ecm was making a buzzing noise and after few attempts of kicking it over my battery died now 🙁 any advise or suggestions)

you going to have to change oil, oil filter, timing belt, and most importantly look at belt tensioner pulley and idle pulley. Can't believe that was so easy to fix.
