Girlfriend grieves San Marcos apartment fire victim: ‘There was nobody like Dru’

a life cut short and a relationship ripped apart when a deadly fire destroyed an apartment complex in San Marcos now the girlfriend of a man still unaccounted for sits down with a 19’s Devon Clark and tells him why she’s not sure she’ll get over his loss today is met twenty-year-old drew Estes while working at a restaurant last November eight months ago they became a couple and had plans to get married even getting a Siberian Husky together who they named Alaska Reyes says Estes was the man of her dreams now Reyes thinks back to last Thursday and wonders if she could have done anything differently [Music] Reyes gave him the cold shoulder but plan to have dinner with him the next day when that morning came she suspected something was wrong when she checked social media Reyes found out about the fire at Estes his San Marcos apartment complex five bodies were pulled out of the building and while they’ve yet to be identified drew Estes his name was on the list of five people unaccounted for furthermore Reyes says his car was parked outside and she hasn’t heard from him since as investigators try to figure out how the fire started [Music] Reyes must now figure out how to cope with the love she lost in San Marcos Devin Clark case at 12 News
