Apartment Hunting in Puerto Vallarta! ?? – Travel Mexico couple vlog #279

hola from debate Mexico today we are headed to put about that and a few other little beach towns look for an apartment and you know to check the place out [Music] all right first up on the way down through Port Arthur we have to stop in at Sayulita it is the place to go for international cuisine now I’m not sure what we’re going to have for lunch but you can get pretty much anything you want here so only expensive side so we’ve heard but really really good food overall Ashley and I decide to split up late because the portions are huge we got a thing called top of the bunch oh it’s basically like a Mexican dish the most traditional thing that they have here it’s got chilaquiles river and real so silicon this is hiding places with Matt Murphy escape we get yourself around so we’ve got eggs chicken and turkey chips with salsa how’s that is it sell yummy I’m sure listen my lesson I hope not because I want some morphine [Music] society is also on the beaches like foot in America and we’re going to head there later but we had to stop and see the ocean first I mean we’re so close man cura season is in full swing they must like to hang out here in the winter I guess yeah sunny is warm with the ocean so nice now I know so I’m hoping the water gives chest exactly how is it like people they probably are dumb especially if it is cool and all but we’ve got to get the birth advances today because we are trying to find an apartment for the next month or so so we get a head down there we got a couple places lined up that we’re going to check out and maybe we’ll get to them today [Music] okay we’ve arrived at our Airbnb in Port America now we’re going to be a quick little rest just kind of freshen up a little bit and then we’re going to go check out I think two different departments tonight in people’s houses so we didn’t have a carbon thing that’s going bedrooms right now yeah so we’re here to check out apartments and we’ll just registration see what was in mine as well what we’re finding is that a lot of people want to rent it out by the day because we can they get a heck of a lot more money that way yeah instead by month which they just make cheaper so Jack and I are looking at less than it’ll be less than five hundred for sure my budget is no more than three actually thinks we can not find anything in that price range yeah important video test so we’ll see maybe we there’s a miracle and just like work something out for us the weekend we’re just renting a two-bedroom Airbnb a little outside the port America it’s in court of exhibit it’s not in the city center this is our bed in the room and really nice the other room was just like this and then the kitchen area nice and open right outside we have a bunch of research Jess I have used Airbnb a ton and we’re actually using it right now for this Airbnb so just a weekend and then we’re looking at Airbnb for the whole month of February if you don’t have an account check out the link below and if you use our coats then you can get a listicle Damian Johnson turns over put it a thirty dollar credit and then we need a sitter eight dollar credit as well I think that’s a great deal and if you have us I have musical my cell all the sounds of nice because we’re headed to our potential new home [Music] so we’re supposed to be meeting Pepe here from Airbnb unfortunately Pepe is nowhere to be found nor is he answering the phone so maybe we won’t look at this place today but one things that we’ve been learning as a Jindra around some the best way to find a place here in Mexico is just to drive down the street look for a sign that says dead Entei and call the number and usually it’s taken or you know whatever but we’ve written down a few numbers and we’re gonna keep calling get a nice balcony yeah really nice balcony of you but that’s of those room I don’t want to show you the room okay yeah probably not our best choice great location and it’s how much 401 is the key for a room with the shared bathroom and yech let’s keep looking second right freakin open yeah cool this is looking a lot better than the other one yeah the room yeah what more do you need go to bed you coming room what do you think all right that was definitely better than the first one sister but it’s a definite possibility we’re going to keep looking and looking in Windows for signs yeah because that one is sort of on the top end of our budget yeah but good for this area like left so we’ll see what are you booking but I liked it all this apartment hunting has us hungry so we’re going to head up to Luke Kumba have you say that and get some early dinner these garden oh look I’m coming garden yeah okay we’re headed to the garden to get some dinner [Music] would you come I get pretty good a center yeah yeah City Hall is here with a very adventurous yes yeah so you know whatever you know what I think and I got a little adventurous and had the Mexican pizza basically it’s arezzo with jalapenos and something else I’m sure but that’s it Asami spices anymore a nice dinner out and put America we spend I spend about five dollars for my family suggested in this is a police matter six dollars so 11 no we’re always in total the 5 mm in America not playing what a meal it was anyway that’s it long day of travel we went to so many different places we saw some beaches we’re in Port de Barra – now we looked at lots of apartments so much more to do but we need to find an apartment soon yeah hopefully this weekend I hope so alright so put the bite there again tomorrow we’ll see you guys next video yeah adios [Music]

That is the issue with airbnb you are on their time. Also once you have everything set up, people can cancel even minutes before you arrive it had happened to me and people that I know. Good luck guys.

Wow, very nice. Puerto Vallarta seems fairly affordable. I'm sure there are other places in Mexico that are much cheaper. It looks really nice there for sure. Great vlog!

I respect your hustle. I pre-booked my MX City apartment off of Airbnb and I always negoiate on a monthly rental. I find that you can generally drive down a price by at least $100-$200 quite easily. The thing I love about long term rentals off Airbnb is that if something goes wrong, they will step in. What I don't like is.. the price.. You guys are definitley going about it the more affordable way. Love the useful info and vlogging style as always!! Buena suerte con todo !! (good luck with everything).

By the way, what was the monthly rent in Puerto Vallarta for the apartment you rented? and how did you go about finding the apartment?

"..El Salvador is a great launching point for the Galapagos Islands..". On what, a cruise missile? You've got your continents mixed up. Looking for an apartment in Vallarta through Air BnB is like calling Uber for a safari guide. Go to CUC, the Coastal University in Ixtapa (just north of the airport), and ask local students for housing information. BTW, it's "Se Renta", not "Se Rente".

Dammit ! I want to go back to Puerta Vallarta. It's actually safer than my neighborhood in Texas. I'm tired of the border towns that are dangerous on both sides of the border. If you know the culture it's safer. Basically you have to know how to get by in the ghetto. PV is very safe.

Being married to a Mexican American that worked for Mexicana Airlines out of L.A. we have had all the great cheap flights There are so many freaking stupid travel warnings from all the resorts! Cancun, And all thru the west coast ! These poor people are fing desperate much more than when we traveled in the 80s and 90s! Being young and stupid is the best way to get robbed or beat up! I would run for hills and vacation in the stateside not in a poverty driven country!

Great video and thank you for encouraging my wife and myself to take it to the next level in life, to take the risk and commit to the adventure. I am 72 years old my wife is 65 years old and your videos are
Inspiration for us to continue an adventurous lifestyle. We've traveled to 35 countries and by seeing how you take on the challenges has given us the courage to do things that we have not felt comfortable doing. The bottom line we are getting out of the comfort zone. What advice would you give us? You're doing it and thank you for what you're doing it is appreciated all.

So you actually just showed up in PV during high (winter) season expecting to instantly find a one-month rental at discount rate? Sorry, on such short notice, that's simply stupid!! This video was absolutely useless and moreover a disservice. Clear as day to me it was nothing but clickbait to plug your Airbnb affiliate link!! You should be ashamed of yourselves for spewing such garbage… (FYI I know the PV rental market very well from most of over three years living there as an American.)

Hey guys!!! So amazing. 2 years ago, Tim and I were binge watching your Puerto Vallarta videos and decided to make the move to Mexico ourselves. ? It's so fun re-watching your PV videos now and actually recognize the places you are visiting. I'm seeing my new home through your eyes again. It's neat seeing how much you and Josh have changed and grown since making these videos too. Love your channel and I'm always following along (my fav travel channel, by far) ? Wish you the best!

It's sucks looking for Apts I'm assuming not sure but when they see Caucasian looking for Apts they would tend to jack up the price, I'm just assuming.
