2 children, mother in critical condition from fire at Westwood apartment complex

THEY MET A MOTHER SAYING THAT
THERE WERE CHILDREN INSIDE AS
WELL.>>THEY WERE HUSTLING, THEY WERE
GETTING PEOPLE TO WHEREVER THEY
HAD TO GO, WHATEVER HOSPITAL. DAN: FRED SUELTER SAW FIRST
RESPONDERS RUSHING INTENTLY INTO
THE VANTAGE POINTE WEST
APARTMENTS IN WESTWOOD JUST
BEFORE 5:00 TONIGHT. THEIR FLASHING LIGHTS AND
SIRENS, AN INDICATION THIS WAS
SERIOUS.>>THEY’RE HERE MAYBE TWO OR
THREE TIMES A MONTH, BUT THIS
TIME THEY WERE HERE FOR WHAT AN
OUR? DAN: — HOUR? DAN: CINCINNATI FIRE OFFICIALS
CONFIRM TO WLWT TONIGHT, THE
SITUATION STARTED WITH A KITCHEN
FIRE. THEY SAY A YOUNG MOTHER, A
TODDLER ABOUT 1 TO 2-YEARS-OLD,
AND A BABY WERE BURNED AND
SUFFERED SMOKE INHALATION. FIREFIGHTERS SAY ALL 3 WERE
RESPONSIVE TO SOME POINT, AS
THEY WERE RUSHED TO HOSPITALS
WITH LIFE-THREATENING, CRITICAL
INJURIES. FIRE CREWS WORKED FOR SEVERAL
HOURS PUTTING THE FLAMES OUT. NO ONE ELSE WAS HURT, NO OTHER
UNITS TOUCHED BY FIRE. BUT THIS SCENE, HAS BURNED AN
UNSETTLING IMAGE INTO THE MINDS
OF NEIGHBORS, OF A YOUNG FAMILY
NOW HOSPITALIZED AFTER A
TRAGED
>>I HOPE THEY SURVIVE. I DON’T KNOW THEM, I LIVE ON THE
DEAD END STREET OVER THERE BUT I
HOPE THEY, I WISH THEM THE BEST
DAN: FIRE OFFICIALS TELL US
SMOKE DETECTORS AND FIRE ALARMS
WERE FUNCTIONING IN THE BUILDING. THEY SAY HOWEVER, THE BUILDING
HAD NO SPRINKLERS. LIVE AT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL,
